Big Day For Max Partney As His Power Was On Display, As The Hillsboro Hawks Defeat the Windsor Owls 10-2.

Max Partney hit two home runs and drove in six as the Hillsboro Hawks defeated the Windsor Owls 10-2 on Thursday at Windsor High School. Partney homered in the fifth and sixth innings.
The Hawks opened the scoring with two doubles in the 1st, then got on the board when Partney doubled, scoring one run.
Hillsboro added four more runs in the top of the 5th inning on two hits. An error scored one run, and Partney homered to right field, scoring three runs.
Four more runs crossed the plate in the 6th inning to extend the lead to 10-2. Easton Day doubled, scoring one run, Keynen Drury singled, scoring one run, and Partney homered to right field, scoring two runs.
Jackson Marks earned the win for Hillsboro. The starter gave up four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out four and walking five. Nate Estopare took the loss for the Windsor Owls, as he went five innings, giving up six runs (five earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking four. Hunter Hoban pitched one inning of zero-run ball for the Hawks in relief. The reliever gave up no hits and no walks.
Hillsboro collected 10 hits in the game. Drury collected two hits for the Hillsboro Varsity Hawks in four at bats. Day stole two bases. The Hawks had five stolen bases and turned one double play in the game.
Adam Streicher, Casen Siegel, Owen Haegele, and Jeremiah Palmer each collected one hit for Windsor Owls. Streicher and Palmer each drove in one run for the Owls. Windsor turned one double play in the game.
Hillsboro plays at home on Friday against Windsor to finish the home-at- home series.
